This is just one reason why I love my job. This week I was invited to join Jackson, the uber Concierge of Barney's New York's Dallas Flagship store, along with 25 or 30 of my fellow Dallas area Concierges for breakfast at Barney's with Simon Doonan, Barney's Creative Director. As if that were not enough, I also attended the Oscar De La Renta fashion show at NorthPark Center's Fashion in the Park. Of course, the clothes were gorgeous and if I were a wealthy Dallas socialite, I would have run out and bought everything in the collection. But being a Concierge sometimes means have Champagne taste and beer money. Fortunately, the champagne was flowing in the tent before the show.
There are days when I am chained to a desk with reports, Excel spreadsheets, contact lists and a host of other boring administrative tasks, but then an invitation comes in the mail or I receive an e-vite for an event and ...Well that's what this blog is all about. For the past 9 years I have been a Corporate Concierge and I have had the wonderful opportunity to dine at some of Dallas' finest restaurants, see great shows from the Dallas Summer Musicals, hear incredible music from the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and I even spent a day with Cirque du Soliel!
